A folder selection dialog will pop up - navigate to the folder where your RCT1 files are and click Open. Go to the sixth tab (the spanner), and click the box under Path to RCT1 installation. You also need to grab the required data files from RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 by buying a copy of the original on GOG or Steam. First, select a rollercoaster that has a 'powered Launch' or 'Reverse incline' feature. Launch OpenRCT2 and go to the Options menu (top right on the title screen). You can find OpenRCT2 here and to make it easy they have pre-built versions for Linux like an AppImage to run cross-distro. Looks like there's a lot of improvements that will come with it and the developer said they "can't wait for the new parks done with this".
